In FORET ROUGE n°2/7, MANORACK transforms the landscape into an inner territory. The forest ceases to be nature and becomes a psychological space: tension, memory, contained energy. Red does not describe — it reveals.
Developed through multiple stages and combining digital photography with painterly intervention, the work explores the boundary between figuration and abstraction. The brushed metal surface intensifies the chromatic vibration and shifts with the light, reinforcing a sense of instability and continuous transformation.
This artwork is part of a limited edition of 7 and is presented in a US-style box frame, adding sculptural presence and spatial depth.
Born in Paris and currently based in the Basque Country, MANORACK has dedicated her life to photography as a field of personal inquiry and inner expression. Self-taught and experimental in approach, she combines digital techniques with plastic interventions to expand the limits of the photographic image.
Her practice moves between abstraction and figuration, examining the distance between reality and interpretation. Rather than merely representing, she seeks to reveal the invisible within the visible — challenging perception and inviting deeper reflection.
As she describes it, her process is about “aligning head, eye and heart,” understanding photography not simply as reproduction, but as transmission.
