BUAT Gallery presents “EXPERIENCE”, a solo exhibition by Yana Bulantseva, bringing together glass, graphic works and photography in a poetic reflection on landscape, memory and perception.

The exhibition explores how visual experience becomes material. What begins as a fragment of sky, a mountain ridge, a surface of stone, water or light is transformed into image, gesture and object. Through photography, drawing and glass, Yana Bulantseva creates a dialogue between the seen, the felt and the made.

About the Exhibition

“EXPERIENCE” is built around the artist’s way of observing the world. Travel, landscape and natural forms become the starting point for a personal visual language where memory is not fixed, but atmospheric, fragile and alive.

Photography appears as a way of seeing and collecting impressions. Graphic works translate these impressions into movement, texture and emotional trace. Glass gives them physical presence — transparent and opaque at once, capable of holding light, depth and silence.

The exhibition invites visitors to move between different states of perception: from the vastness of landscape to the intimacy of material detail, from the outer world to the inner experience of remembering it.

Seen, Felt, Made

In Yana Bulantseva’s practice, each medium carries a different part of experience.

Photography captures what is seen: fragments of nature, edges, reflections, horizons and surfaces.

Graphic work expresses what is felt: charcoal, line and shadow become a form of visual memory — imprecise, atmospheric and honest.

Glass transforms experience into object. It bends and stores light, creating forms that feel both natural and sculptural, fragile and permanent.

Together, these works reveal a sensitive connection between landscape and material. A mountain ridge may echo the edge of glass. A natural form may become an object. A memory may become something the viewer can almost hold.

About the Artist

Yana Bulantseva works across glass, graphic art and photography. Her practice is rooted in observation, travel and the transformation of visual experience into physical form.

Her works explore the relationship between nature, material and memory. Through glass, drawing and photography, she creates delicate visual structures where landscape becomes emotion, and emotion becomes object.
