Innovative Alloys in Contemporary Jewellery & Object Design

An exhibition initiated by Kostin’s Lab in collaboration with Tatyana Kholodnova, Beatriz Biaggi, Emilio Narducci and Inna Cheskidova.

As part of Barcelona Design Week 2026, BUAT Gallery presents Alloyed Visions, an exhibition initiated by Kostin’s Lab, a family laboratory specialising in innovative alloys for fine and fashion jewellery.

The exhibition brings together material innovation, contemporary jewellery and object design through a collaboration between Kostin’s Lab and four designers. Each participant explores the expressive potential of metal through a distinct approach to form, surface, concept and sensory experience.

Material as a Creative Partner

The title Alloyed Visions reflects the project on two levels. It refers to the innovative alloys developed by Kostin’s Lab while also describing the meeting of different creative perspectives within a shared process.

The laboratory contributes its proprietary materials, technologies and production expertise, while the designers bring their ideas, artistic languages and experimental approaches.

Rather than treating an alloy solely as a technical component, the exhibition considers material an active part of the creative process. Its properties influence the appearance, structure and meaning of each object.

The alloy is not simply a material. It becomes part of the artistic language.

Through collaboration, technological research becomes a foundation for artistic experimentation, allowing ideas to take forms that conventional production may not accommodate.

Four Designers, Four Visions

The exhibition brings together four distinct creative perspectives:

Working in dialogue with Kostin’s Lab, each designer investigates how innovative alloys can shape contemporary jewellery and object design through form, texture, movement and sensory experience.
