Nataliya Lemesheva

Nataliya Lemesheva was born and raised in Voronezh, Russia. In 2019, she graduated from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. Together with a group of fellow graduates, she co-founded the artistic collective Workshop 18.

She actively participates in exhibitions, and in 2020 relocated to Spain, where her artistic practice shifted toward contemporary art while retaining elements of the Moscow school of painting.

Nataliya’s work represents a synthesis of anthropological, cultural, and psychological research. She explores themes of immigration, adaptation, and integration, focusing on individuals navigating new social environments and seeking their place within a liminal space.

Her artistic practice is also deeply rooted in the concept of non-duality — the understanding that all phenomena are ultimately interconnected and indivisible. Through her work, Lemesheva reveals the dissolution of boundaries between opposites such as light and darkness, inner and outer worlds, the familiar and the foreign, abstraction and realism.

Currently, Nataliya Lemesheva is working on two major projects: “Shadows” and “Doors.”
