Mayte Yagüe

Mayte Yagüe was born in Barcelona, Spain. Holding a Master’s degree in Graphic Design and having worked as a director of a small company outside the art field, she has always felt a deep attraction to creativity. Although art had long been one of her passions, it was not until 2020, during the global pandemic, that she fully embraced painting. When her primary professional activity came to a halt, she seized the opportunity to immerse herself in art — a decision that unlocked a profound connection between imagination and artistic expression.

Her current artistic practice is centered on experimentation with textures, colors, and emotions, resulting in works that resonate on an intuitive and emotional level. Mayte’s paintings reflect the intersection of personal growth and artistic exploration, offering a fresh and contemplative perspective.

In 2024, she exhibited two works at Galerie Azur in Berlin and was featured in Atmosphere: The Art Perspective magazine. Her upcoming exhibitions include presentations at BUAT Gallery — Fine Art Gallery in Barcelona, as well as galleries and art spaces in Berlin, Madrid, Paris, and across Spain.

Driven by a lifelong passion for painting and creative expression, Mayte Yagüe draws inspiration from deep emotions and inner sensations. Her abstract works combine vibrant acrylics, rich textures, and contemporary collage techniques. Each painting is conceived as a journey through color, movement, and texture — inviting viewers to explore the emotional landscapes that connect us.
